Reflection ON Draft #1 and then #2 of Literacy Narrative

Reflection on Draft #1 & 2
Literature is part of us, the skills we gain from every event in our life. During the course of English 101 we had to write a literacy narrative, literacy narrative is a self-story of your experience or a person that influence you with writing, reading, or any skill you obtain in life. It was hard to think for a specific event or person that haves being an influence in you. We needed to start somewhere, is always hard to start but once it begins it will be done. We started with a free writing that help me realize that there was a person in common that I had to thank a lot for my education. That person was no one else than my mother, but to write in all my paper about my mother and her impact in my education would be not only boring for the readers but also repetitive. II needed another topic to talk about in my draft#1.
The day we’re we needed to hand in the draft was getting closer and closer, I was running out of time so start writing, I remember clearly looking for a hook to start with. Found it “knowledge is power” that’s it, I started to write an introduction that defines my and pass to basically give an understanding of what I had to deal with in my childhood and that because of those motive my life have not been like the others. I try to use appeals toward the reader, an emotional appeal. We all have different events that shape us or even a person that had such an influence in us that we still remember her/his advices. In my case was my mother I’m so grateful to my mother because she was always there for me. I decided to write about her in my introduction and the first part of my writing, I stopped in the middle of the page I did not wanted to go into details because it was just a draft “think, think, think another event another” I stay for few minutes thinking of another topic that have been a lesson.

“Come on you can do it, it should be easy” that come through my mind, I was running out of options when I thought why only one event in specific? It could be a series of events that can be like one, I de died to write about coming to the U.S.A and having to learn a whole different language, the challenge I had to face, those days when my interest in learning was wakening.  I wrote a brief explanation to the most important events that have been a help for my education not going into detail because it will ruin it for the final writing. Time pass I finish my writing leave some mistakes that will later be fix to show the improvement in between my draft and my writing. The draft was handed in we create groups to revive the mistakes or any simple error we did or what to addNeeded more logic, a tittle how did I even forgot about a title, and more explanation to the topics presented. Second draft have to be done for the next class along with some other journals and other homework from different classes. I sat in the library and started thinking 3 pages or more, what a drag, how can I expand this into three pages it will sure take a lot of detail. I started writing my second draft, at first it was easy to expand a couple or sentences and add new ideas correction be more descriptive, but as I continue writing my brain was failing apart looking for ideas no incorporate, new ideas to share making connection explaining as much as possible, I realize I was being very repetitive and try to change some facts that I had wrote more than twice. Yes, I'm in the second page, “I’m just missing one more come on think” I said to myself. When I was writing unconsciously started thinking of all this events that I have been through and how they have impacted me and my way of viewing my surroundings, I started thinking “wow you sure have been through a lot, but still continue to walk.” My mind was distracted I stop moving I stared at the computer screen not knowing what to do, flashbacks come into my mind, a look up at the screen I saw my reflection with a big smile on his face, “what are you smiling about?” Just a shy laugh stops thinking better finish this draft. I went into details of what have been the motives for me to learn how to read and write, and what has been the reason for me to become interesting in learning. My story is not like the other, is not the greater one either, but sure is different and sure has been hard.
