Reflection to Interview
The Reflection
During
our research paper for my English course I face a lot of challenges, one of
them was to interview someone that has experience in the topic we were writing
about. I had a couple questions already on my mind but not all of them were
good or decent. Finding a person to interview was not so complicated all I had
to do was to search on the john jay stuff and faculty to find someone. The real
issue was to get this people to answer my mails. It took me a whole week to get
answer back out of the 5 teachers I ask only 1 answer. In conclusion it was a
“good” beginning.
Dr.
Schlesinger a very famous man that had been in TV a couple of times was the
person I was interviewing. He ask me what I was researching and who my teacher
was. It was hard to interview him because his answer were not so elaborated,
most of his answer were two or three words response. In order for me to get the
information I wanted I had to play with different ways to phrase a question and
try to get him to answer in a complete sentence, which I think is helpful for
future interview, to improvise. The interview was few minutes long but I
achieve my goal which was to get all my questions response and to get new
formation for my research. Over all I learn a lot from this interview plus I
learn that sometimes we don’t need to follow a format.
